MUSIC IN ME

I strongly believe in the saying “WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, MUSIC SPEAKS”. 

I love singing. I am a frustrated Singer. I sing everywhere I am, I sing whenever I want to sing, even when I am inside the bathroom. When I am singing inside the bathroom I feel like I am a professional singer. When I was young, about 10 years old maybe, I really have no idea about the different genres of music. It just so happened that as I sit next to a stranger in the jeepney all of a sudden I heard me singing the same song, not because the lyrics are easy to understand. I don’t know possibly because the melody is very heartwarming. As I got home I researched for that song and I love it. Through searching that song I have learned the different genres of music. I became addicted to “Hardcore, Alternative Pop Rock and Metalcore” songs. I could easily appreciate those types of songs other than songs that swiftly flow. My favorite band were “A Day To Remember”, “Silverstein”, “We the Kings”, “Disciple”, “Paramore”, “Eleventyseven”, “Flyleaf”, “Slapshock” and a lot more.

“If it means a lot to you” is the best song ever. A melody to my ear. The song was very meaningful. I find it very interesting because it is emotionally   written.  I played it maybe, 12 times a day, if I’m not mistaken, if only for the line ‘til everyone is singing/Lalalala; maybe that is the reason why I liked hardcore and metal core music. I am a big fan of a necessary screaming in songs. Listening to these genres makes me alive. I can express myself more. I don’t know what has gotten to me, but as for me this type of music are “eardrum-friendly”

Music is one way to escape dilemmas in life. If I’m depressed, I just wear earphones and sing-along with the band playing.
